Double R Creations

Double R Creations & Photographic Art by Russel Ray Photos

Several years ago, just before I retired on December 31, 2016, I created Double R Creations with the intent of using the billions of pictures that I have taken since 1966 to create unique stuff, like leather pillows, coffee cups, drinking glasses, 8″x8″ tiles and huge 30″ x 20″ tile pictures, calendars, playing cards, and more.

I’m in the process of creating several calendars featuring my Photographic Art, cacti & succulents, flowers, animals, and one featuring nature’s geometry. Speaking of nature’s geometry, the proof book of Nature’s Geometry: Succulents by Russel Ray (that’s me!) arrived yesterday. Looks like this:

I already have found a place to create leather pillows, as well as canvas, metal, acrylic, and glass prints, all at reasonable prices.

A couple of weeks ago I found a place that can create quality puzzles for me, also at reasonable prices. I ordered two puzzles, and they arrived yesterday. Looks like this:

As items are developed with prices, I’ll announce regularly here at my blog, so stay tuned!

Double R Creations—I just can’t help myself

I just can’t help myself.

I just love starting companies. I guess you could call me a serial entrepreneur.

Even though I am officially retired, with the likes of Fine Art America, SmugMug, Etsy, Amazon, Facebook market places, and easily customizable web sites, I have decided to start yet another company, this one called Double R Creations. In addition to my Photographic Art at Fine Art America, I am going to use my trillions of pictures to create things like calendars, posters, notepads, post-it notes, mugs, pillows, bedding, towels…. just about anything you can imagine. I have pictures of cats, dogs, other animals, cacti & succulents, other plants, flowers, marco pictures, trains, etc.

I have wanted to do this for a long time. That time has come. Calendars for 2019 are first on my list. You have seen my first 2019 calendar, titled Cacti & Succulents. I had it printed in black & white yesterday for proofing. Found a lot of errors, corrected those, and had it printed in color. Found a few more errors and corrected those. Today I’m having one printed in color on heavier paper and stapled. That will be my final proof before printing.

The next item on my agenda are Advice inspirational posters. Here are two that I created in the past that gave me this idea to begin with:
