Picture of the Moment—Cactus Cats

Picture of the Moment

There is a feral colony of cats living in San Diego’s Balboa Park in one of the cactus gardens.

I call them the “Cactus Cats.”

Here are five of them keeping watch over the cactus:

Cool cats! I have a Pansy cat here🙃She definitely does not keep watch over them, but rather wraps her tail round them and knocks over the pots or flips said pansy plants right off their stakes! She knows this is a great way to get my attention – immediately….chewing on the stakes or munching pansies works even better! We won’t dwell on the consequences if the pansies were your cactus plants!!🤯😅

Hey, they have a job! Great picture.
They are similar to the feral colony that watches over the medical center/hospital across from NASA in Clear Lake. The nurses and night staff like them as they know if the cats are lounging around by doors and sidewalks, there are no weird intruders or lurking dangers. A volunteer group takes care of them for food, meds, and limiting size of the colony.

Wow I follow over 200, and at one time would sit diligently and go through each post.. Now I visit my regular friends and those I see who pop up in my reader as and when I am in there…. It works without getting stressed, …

My Excel spreadsheet tells me that I’m following 1,662 others. At 20 visits per day, 7 days a week, that would be 11 weeks. I wish I could do it in 11 weeks, but when one actually stops and reads blog posts instead of just clicking on a LIKE, it takes much longer. And then there’s commenting. I tend to watch sports and read blog posts during inaction and commercials. I would get stressed if I didn’t have my Excel spreadsheets (57 of them!) to guide me in my daily tasks………….. LOL
