Waggytails—Because your pet deserves to be happy

Out & About

One of the nice things about the new digs is that I have a full-size washer and dryer, meaning that I literally can go a month without doing the wash. What I have discovered, though, is that if I go a month without doing the wash, it takes a whole day to fold all the items and put them away. Now you know why I drink margaritas….

Seems like it would be easier just to throw the dirty clothes out and buy new stuff. Hmmm. Maybe the clothing manufacturers need to better develop planned obsolescence for their goods, like the computer manufacturers do………img_3014 zoey the cool cat sleep stamp

I mention doing the laundry because about a month ago I was buying cat food at Walmart for the precious little one known as Zoey the Cool Cat (picture►).

I met a couple in the pet section who were wearing cute shirts that said,

all pets deserve to be happy

After getting Zoey the Cool Cat’s cat food, I wandered around the store, which can take several hours since it’s a super Walmart, looking for things that I had never seen before. Waggytails was still on my mind, though, and ultimately I wandered around hoping to find that couple again. I did.

We talked for about fifteen minutes. Turns out they were from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Long-time readers know how much I love Canada and all my Canadian friends. They told me they were trying to move out of the Canadian snow and into the Southern California sun.

I told them about my Southern California blog and told them I would do a blog post about Waggytails. Well, here’s that post!

So why did I wait so long?

Flashback to the first paragraph above.

A month ago is about when I did my last load of laundry. My wise old grandmother taught me to always check the pockets of shirts and pants, and I do. In the pocket of the shirt deepest down in the laundry basket (basically the floor of the closet since I don’t have a laundry basket big enough to hold a month’s worth of clothes!) was the business card for Dean Walsh of Waggytails. Sadly, I don’t remember his wife’s name. Nonetheless….

If you’re in Edmonton and need great care for your dog—daycare, overnight camp, training, or grooming—check out Waggytails.

Because your pet deserves to be happy.

I watched a dystopian movie fairly recently where people simply walked into a cleaner to clean their clothes. The cleaner used electrons and such to remove dirt. No getting wet. No dry time. Took all of 15 seconds.
