Ocean Beach—Proud to be unusual, strange, different….

Out & About

Ocean Beach is one of San Diego’s more popular neighborhoods because, first, it’s a beach city.

A beach city with great restaurants and lots to do.

Combine all of that with their desire to be different, unusual, stuck in a 1960s time warp, and anything but normal.

The only problem with it is that it is very difficult to get to because it is so popular. There is really only one way to get there, which means traffic backs up horribly most of the time.

when I was in high school, my friends and in the summers we hung out in OB with Hells Angels and other moto “gangs”. it was pretty wild there and in mission beach, but the guys were always super nice to me, treated me like a little sister, and on the random occasion when they’d take me home, they were extremely polite to my mom. it was a more innocent time back then and i’m sure i’d never let a child of mine have that much freedom, but no harm came to me. my mom was less than pleased with me, tho lol.
