Just relax in your favorite spot

Picture of the Moment

Moving starts in earnest on Friday although preparations have been ongoing for a couple of weeks now.

What that means is that I’ll continue to post daily but posts will be shorter. You’re probably not going to see a post in my San Diego Historical Landmark series since each of those posts takes several hours to research and write.

My Picture of the Moment series probably will have quite a few entries during the next 36 days.

Knowing that, I thought I’d share my most recent picture of Zoey the Cool Cat, taken at 10:15 p.m. last night:

Zoey the Cool Cat all relaxed

With so many things being moved about, she has all sorts of new places to explore. Such excitement just wore her out yesterday.

Her home comprising a Samuel Adams beer box and a Trader Joe’s sack has been her favorite spot for the last five days.

So when you’ve had a long, tiring day, just relax in your favorite spot!

That is what is so funny about cats. They find a spot and it becomes the favorite until they find the next one. Our girl Madison has lately taken to sleeping on my head at night. She will occasionally reach out with her right paw and tap Paul on the face! Boxes are always a favorite too! Hugs to you and Jim and may your move go smoothly!

Zoey the Cool Cat has a 5-day cycle and that box has been THE PLACE for the past 5 days. Sure enough, as soon as I made this post, she vacated the box in favor of the linen closet. Looks like that’s her new spot for the next 5 days.

My in-laws spend all sorts of money on things for their two cats. All of them go unused. I keep trying to tell them that cats are quite happy in boxes and sacks, but I guess those things just aren’t beautiful enough for their clean and beautiful home………LOL

You know what the coolest thing about WP Bloggy pals is? I didn’t even have to say, “Gee…sorry, would love to help, but threw my back out of place last week planting fruit trees – ” because it didn’t cross your mind to ask me….. 🙂 Moving is such a task – Best Wishes for a smooth weekend! 🙂

May seem like a small thing, in face of world hunger, etc., but ever since you announced the downsize/move – I said a little prayer, “Let it go smoothly” – simply cuz, I’ve moved 3 times in the last 7 years and each time prayed, “Please, PLEASE, let this be the last time – and I’m getting rid of more books if it’s not….” 🙂

I quit counting after 24 moves in my adult life – I prefer a garden with roots planted that I can stick around to see comes up next year – LOL – but maybe I’m just weary and old… 🙂

Zoey looks so relaxed in that box you just want to go “Awwww”. 🙂 I wish you well on your move. I NEVER, EVER want to do it again. I’ve had 35 of them and don’t plan to do it again. I’m helping my daughter move this week. I helped my son move up here with me. It seems everyone is in transition. I so envy people who can say they have lived in one place their whole lives. Or maybe not. Could be kind of boring. 🙂 Wishing you a smooth move.

I took Zoey the Cool Cat to the new place two days ago and again this morning since I had some familiar things over there to help her with the transition. She’s not happy but she’s making it, bit by bit, little by little.
