Let the rain come

Out & About

It’s supposed to rain in San Diego this week.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

How many times to I have to tell Mother & Father Nature that it doesn’t rain in San Diego in April?

Just no.

When it does rain, though, people like me have to get out and about to experience it.

Here’s a 45-second video of some of my exploits last time it rained:

You can chalk it up to editing. I was out for two hours trying to get lots of good splashes. It seems the best splashes were while I was standing on the corner when it wasn’t raining rather than sitting in my car when it was raining. I think some of the people were trying to splash me. But that was okay since I was expecting it and knew where to stand so they couldn’t get me.

Which is usually what I do because people out here don’t know how to drive in the rain. Heck maybe I don’t even know how to drive in the rain anymore. Maybe that’s why I normally stay in when it rains!………….LOL

I think people everywhere seem to forget how to drive when it rains, here in Sydney, Australia before I get into the car in the rain I remind myself to keep an extra watch on other drivers…I love staying in when it rains, though 🙂

Nice video; in the desert sw, we stand out in the rain every time it rains, since it’s so rare…unless there’s lightning! Too bad it probably won’t and can’t rain like that every week for the next few months…because it’s San Diego.
