San Diego has had a very long rainy season this year, possibly the longest I’ve experienced since 1993 when I moved here. It started early this winter, with .37 inch in November 2014, 3.95 inches in December, .42 inch in January 2015, .04 inch in February, and .89 inch so far in March. We even had hail earlier this month!
The rain, spread out over several months, means that plants have a better opportunity to drink up some of that water. When that happens, every plant seems to bloom whether or not it’s that plant’s blooming season.
Here is a representative collection of Photographic Art stamps made from pictures taken this past week.

I really love those neon-y type ones, especially the primrose.

I like them, too. I try that effect on almost every flower but it doesn’t always look good. I haven’t been able to determine just what kind of flower of picture that effect requires to look good.

Beautiful pictures! We are finally on the up and up here! My Mom and I are ‘shuffling up to Buffalo’ today. I got another doctor’s appointment :((… So hopefully with today we won’t be hit by some freak snow storm or some freak car

All gorgeous Russell. I guess we got lucky when we visited in December. We actually only had a 1 1/2 days of rain when we visited and it was refreshing, not cold (for us) Seems like eons ago 😀
I’m very envious of the Foxglove. I’ve tried to grow it here so many times. It’s very borderline hardy here. When we were in Sonoma, it was growing in an alley, in the shade, en-mass, completely un-attended….gasp!

The best place to see Foxglove here is at SeaWorld. They love that plant and have a few billion growing throughout the park.

I found a home in La Jolla that has a few billion primroses planted around it. I bet I looked funny out there taking pictures of every single one but they have a such a wide variety of color combinations.

Haha, I wonder what the people in the home must have thought 😂

I always wonder that, too, whenever I’m standing on a sidewalk taking pictures of a house, especially if I’m taking a picture of a doorway or a window with my zoom lens extended. So far no one has called the police on me………LOL
