2015 Photographic Art calendars—Little Cats

Pictures copyright 2012 Russel Ray Photos

I made a calendar today featuring little cats, but I have so many great pictures of little cats that I’m thinking of doing one of two things: (1) make several calendars featuring little cats, or (2) letting people choose which 12 pictures of the little ones they want on their calendar. I’ll have to think more on #2 and figure out a way to make it easy to choose. I’ve found throughout life that if you give people too many choices, they just leave. Anyways….

Here’s my calendar featuring little cats:

Surprisingly, I haven’t found enough good pictures of butterflies to make a butterfly calendar. I know I have enough; it’s just a question of finding which directory they have been misfiled in….

Current list of calendar subjects:

Birds
Butterflies
Little cats
Big cats
Dogs
All other wildlife
Sunrises & sunsets
Orchids
Roses
Hibiscus
All other flowers
Scenes from San Diego County
Railroads & Trains

Same here. Animals seem to know and trust people like you and me. I remember one home inspection several years ago where the MLS instructions included “Mean dog in back yard.” Well, I needed to get to the back yard to inspect the back of the house. That dog was the sweetest dog in the world, but it kept barking ferociously at my Client and the Realtor.

They say animals are a good judge of character. We had a dog that didn’t have a mean bone in his body. One day two young men came by the house when I was here alone. Petie growled and stood between me and them on the porch and leaned back against me so I couldn’t go forward. I had never seen his hackles up before. Thankfully they left without incident.

Yeah, but I got so far behind in cataloging, which was one of the reasons why I hired Julian. He only got through half of my collection and I’m now working through the other half. I’ll find ’em!
