After publishing a blog post yesterday, WordPress sent me a congratulatory notice:

A painting hanging on the wall at a recent home inspection, significant because the house was vacant, and this lonely painting was the only thing left.
Near one of the elementary schools where I teach chess is this dinosaur on the garage roof:
I had arrived early and parked across the street from this house. Below this dinosaur are lots of gardens and beautiful flowers, ripe for the picking–or simply destruction–by little ones. As I watched the children getting out of school, when they got near this house, they would scamper to the other side of the street. I have this suspicion that such scampering is exactly what the homeowner had in mind when s/he installed this dinosaur.
I am of the opinion that government legislators should drive cars which tell us which corporations are sponsoring (read, buying) them. Maybe something like this:
I see dogs riding in cars quite often, but I have never seen a bird riding in the car. Yes, this one was alive and having fun on its swing as I watched while stopped at a traffic light.
