Finally found a home she likes

Cats

Zoey the Cool Cat joined our household on September 20, 2007. Since then, she pretty much has displayed a five-day rotation for her favorite spots: five days on the dining room chair, five days in the linen cabinet, five days under the bed, five days under the chair, five days in a Costco box, five days under the sofa. Repeat….

Until January 14, 2014.

That was when I came home from Costco with a box that Zoey the Cool Cat has taken to. It’s by far her favorite box ever, and if she’s been a bad cat or she doesn’t want to play anymore, she goes to her box and sits there looking all cute and precious and everything. It’s like her box is her safe house, her corner, her time out zone.

Following are a few pictures of her with this specific box. The last one is my favorite.

I do! When I’m at Costco I’m constantly looking for boxes that I think she will like. She always likes them, for five days, and then it’s old news. I hit paydirt with this one, though!

You know for my dog I bought all kinds of dog beds for her and she slept in all of them for an hour or two but then I always always find her pulling a towel over and making a nest on the floor. I bought her expensive dog beds, cheap ones. I have several blankets for her and sheets too all in or around her bed.But still, I always find her sleeping on a towel on the floor. ( I keep a towel across the bottom of my door to keep a draft out and it keeps the door from rattling from the draft. Since my floor is carpet the thingys you slide under the door to stop that draft dont work, not enough friction for the door to open and close with those things and carpets. So she always paws at the towel and molds it to her liking.

    Animals are sometimes so simple.

Adorable photos of the cool cat! Funny how they are with boxes…places to sit…etc. Madison has to lay on a clean towel. If the towel is there for more than two days she refuses to use it. I have become the laundry maven to my old gal! 🙂 ^..^

When two of my previous cats were play fighting and one of them wanted a break, she jumped into an empty box. As soon as she jumped out, the play fighting started again. It was fun to watch.

Well I wonder what’s so special about this particular box. A your photo’s were unbelievably cute especially the last one. My favourite I think is the forth one with the footsies in the air and Zoey’s tail conveniently covering the girly parts 😀 sweet as pie!

I wish I had a tummy like that! We share your love of striped cats and their love of boxes and bags. That box looks perfect, even to me. It’s the perfect size, lined in paper and the walls are not too high. 😸

I have discovered that there is a size that’s just right. Boxes she used to like as a kitten are now too small and she has zero interest in them. She’ll stop and sniff boxes that are too big but then pass them by.
