Zoey the Cool Cat

It’s a good thing I can multitask

Yesterday afternoon it started.

Seems every blog post I visited and tried to like or comment on refused to accommodate me.

It’s been that way all day today.

Fortunately, I’ve been cataloging pictures and creating some necessary documents for my new enterprise.

So I haven’t been slowed down other than in my daily rounds of reading blogs, liking, and commenting (RLC).

Of course, now I am far behind, and I suspect some of my new followers in this new year have decided to unfollow me since I haven’t been over to their blogs to do any RLC.

What I discovered today, though, is that the only blog posts that are problematic are those which have a URL ending with wordpress.com. If your blog is like mine, either a self-hosted blog or an upgraded WordPress.com blog without wordpress.com in the URL, they are okay. It’s just the blogs ending in wordpress.com, so if you have such a URL and are wondering why no one has been by to like or comment on your posts, now you know.

As soon as WordPress gets its act together, I shall continue my daily rounds.

Dear WordPress: Please send me an email when you have everything working again.

Which reminds me of a joke I heard several years ago on The Comedy Channel: “The best thing about Wikipedia is that anyone can add to it or edit it. The worst thing about Wikipedia is that anyone can add to it or edit it.”

Such similarly is the case with open source software such as WordPress—Anyone can contribute, but that doesn’t mean that what they contribute is worthwhile or free of bugs.

With that out of the way, I leave you with a picture of Zoey the Cool Cat in her newest home.

Is she not a content little kitty?

She gets a new home each week, courtesy of Costco. However, I recently discovered that she doesn’t have to have a new home each week as long as the old home gets remodeled. Remodeling is easy. A few bags, sacks, or scrap paper torn up or wrinkled up and thrown into the bottom of the house and she’s a happy little one.

Zoey is a lucky cat and a smart one. My guy cats have no idea what to with a box.

I never stop following a blog because the blogger doesn’t comment on mine. There’s only so much time for reading and commenting. I assume followers will get back around when they can.

Zoey lives the life of Riley, as they used to say. I love that she gets angry when you don’t have the red milk caps for her. Zoey is pleased with the simple things in life. 🙂

Zoey the Cool Cat has six or seven favorite spots that she cycles through. Each spot is only good for about four days. Then it’s on to the next spot. And she doesn’t get them out of order. A new box can get in there for four days but then it’s just another favorite spot. The funny thing is that if I take the box away after its newness has worn off, she won’t like it again until its time in the cycle. Thus I usually just throw the boxes away and give her a new box regularly.

You have such a good energy… I sense you’re witty and fun. You seem very fond of your cool cat Zoey ( it could match my tiger, Obelix perfectly!!!) and I wonder if you’ve ever asked yourself about cats’ special powers like I have. Congrats for your new entreprise, Hardwork is always rewarded.
Here is one of my favorite websites, probably you know it already, but I take a chance:

I didn’t experience any problems (yet)… I have a .wordpress.com blog as well, but I still got quite a few likes and comments. So it might indeed be the case that only certain parts of the world experience these glitches (or whatever they may be). I hope WP fixes it soon ^^

Always thinking that it’s me, I went to you site from my big computer. Not able to like or comment. I went to my smaller computer. Nope. No good there, either. Went to my laptop. Same thing. So frustrating………..
