Caturday — Business cats & dreaming cats

I am thrilled whenever I visit a business and find that the business and its employees have adopted a feral cat.

Recently I was shopping at a Home Depot that I don’t normally shop at.

It’s actually closer than the one I prefer but traffic is worse going in that direction.

However, they have adopted not one feral cat but two! I think I’ll be shopping at that location more often.

Both cats trusted me enough to let me pet them, especially the orange one.

In the wee hours of the morning today, I was successful at getting a video of Zoey the Cool Cat in the throes of wild dreams about catching birds. Not the best video but so far the only one I’ve been able to get of her dreaming. When you see it, you’ll understand why I’m trying to get a good video of this little princess in her dream state.

Princess Zooey is definitely a Sleeping Beauty. Thank you for sharing this video and thank you about the feral cats I too have a tendancy to shop a places that do this. There is a produce stand more distant than one closer to me, but I shop at the farther one because the proprietor has several cats/kittens she feeds and has had spayed and immunized. I asked her one time why her prices were a little higher than other stands and she smiled and pointed – on the porch of her home (the stand is in her yard) were the cats having their breakfast. They’d been dumped off. She keeps the numbers from getting out of hand because those who become socialized end up beng adopted by regular customers who end up havng favorites.

That’s fantastic that the two feral kitties have a home and love. They’re looking good. I always like the marmalade ones and yes, they do seem to be very friendly. Although, My Orange and White Tabby Ginger wasn’t. She loved us, but no one else. Cute video too, looks like Zoey is telling another kitty about an adventure. LOL Looks like she’s talking in her sleep.

Our cat wasn’t feral, but she was dropped out of someone’s car. She ended up at our house (we live on 2 acres) and tried to jump in the window. Unfortunately, she ended up in the window well. A repairman who was there rescued her. After he left, she tried again. We named her Kommando Kitty. She’s never shown any interest in going back outside. Zoey’s adorable – when our cats sleep, it’s like watching grass grow.

It’s wonderful that there are still people out there that care so much about these cats. They are gorgeous Russel. I just LOVE the video of Zoey. I wonder what she was dreaming about? Totally adorable! Thanks for sharing. 😀
