Hi. Firstly I give you a standing ovation for this post. I honestly wish more people had your passion and compassion towards animals. Not only does a rescue dog get a second chance, it gives you unconditional love. We have two rescue cats that make our house a home. Drive us crazy, but we would not want it any other way. Just looking at those pictures make me sad, but I believe that your post will enlighten many and that these dogs will soon find a home. I am going to use this post as a link on my new post. Ivan

Thanks I have just posted my blog with your link. Growing up we had dogs from the animal shelters/rescue centers. Our two cats are both rescue babies. Bella our two year old cat who thinks she is a dog, was going to pit down at 5 weeks. Long story, she is now a very healthy fat little girl who is unique. Cannot image my life without them. I am a huge animal ri

Good luck to all your little buddy’s. I can’t understand why there are so many little dogs looking for homes, they’re the first ones to get adopted here. Our shelter actually had to stop admitting surrendered pets a couple of weeks ago for the first time ever. They were overflowing. Thanks for posting these sweet souls.

What a wonderful post! We just adopted a dog from our local PAWS Humane Society and he’s a little light in our life. I’m a big believer that rescuing is the only way to go. Great photos, too!

    Hi Russel,
Whenever I see those pictures, I want to rush there and adopt. But with our two dogs and 7 cats we are at the limit of our capacity – unfortunately. I hope, though, that your efforts will help many of those poor doggies to find new homes. Will keep my fingers crossed.
    Best regards from southern Texas,
    Pit
P.S.: We’ll be needing the services of on of your Texan colleagues. As we’re in the process of buying a new home in Fredericksburg [http://pitstexasexpatblog.wordpress.com/2013/08/31/fredericksburg-here-we-come/], we need to have that plave inspected.

Amazing break your heart photos. I worked in an Animal Shelter for 14 yrs. If I were able to walk a dog, there are several I would adopt from these special animals. I do miss having a dog.The last one, before she died, and I went for an hour walk everyday. We both loved it. Wish I could. Your are so kind to post this heart felt post. Thank you. Jk

If you want to give a good home to a dog in need of rescuing check this site out for the most adorable doggies in the world. There are five I want at the top of the list but I’m not able to walk one at the moment. Physical reasons but if I could one of them would definitely join our ever growing animal companion family.
