Video art

When I first started using my Canon 550D to take videos, I wasn’t comfortable with the medium because I didn’t know what I wanted to do, what I wanted to accomplish.

Now I’m a few months into videos and having a lot of fun with “flash videos,” such as this one:

Any idea what you’re watching?

It’s probably just me, but i can’t get it to play on my iPad. I blame Apple for of supporting flash. Are any other iPad users able to see your clip? That said, I hardly ever play any videos – all of my data plans for iPad, laptop, and mobile phone have bandwidth limits/caps, and video has a high burn rate, but I really wanted to view yours!

Oh thanks, this worked, and I love it. Really interesting undulations, the giraffe-skin pattern is fwscinating. Hwvr you tried watching it in slo-mo?

And about Apple – their thing is that flash is a proprietary software, and they are not keen on incorporating proprietary tools UNLESS they are Aple-proprietary tools, of course. Grin.

Is it where a rock garden waterfall cascades???? The color is throwing me off.
It should be a turquoise blue. Did you alter the color?
The music is wild. It goes well with the psychedelic image.
MMMmm … I’m so curious. When will we know, please??? hahaha

This video was taken underneath the manta ray aquarium at SeaWorld San Diego. I recently discovered stairs that lead underneath the aquarium. So it is a pool, and they are reflections, but the reflections are the sun shining through the shallow manta ray aquarium onto the walkway underneath the aquarium. I don’t think the stairs are well known because I was the only one underneath the aquarium. Everyone else was up top petting the manta rays. There are some cool views of the underside of the manta rays from down there, views that you certainly don’t get up top.
