Remember that if you are looking for a dog for your family, please consider adopting from Second Chance Dog Rescue. All of the dogs with Second Chance Dog Rescue are in foster homes. There is no central location or shelter where all of them are kept, so they would love for YOU to take them to their forever home.

Visit Second Chance Dog Rescue to see pictures and find information about all the dogs that are available for adoption. Currently there are 160 adoptable dogs listed on the Second Chance Dog Rescue web site. Following is a selection of eight dogs; I took the original picture and created a black & white drawing with Photoshop CC. Click on the dog’s name or the drawing to go directly to the original picture on the Second Chance Dog Rescue adoption page.

What a special place to volunteer and all of your photos are wonderful! We adopted Lucky Girl, black lab mix and we had her for about 10 years before she died over a year ago. She was almost 11. Then we adopted Copper from Lab Rescue, about 5 months after Lucky died; he’s a chocolate lab and just a great dog. Although brand new puppies are cute, we always wanted to adopt and give a dog a good home. Both Lucky and Copper were a year and a half when we brought them home. They were still young enough to adapt. I wish I could take them all in! 🙂 Great post, Russ, and I hope these dogs find families.

I would totally go and support you..if I was remotely near. I used to volunteer for the SPCA dog walking/adoption programs, and I love the people and volunteers around the globe who do what you are doing. I wish all success to the dogs finding a forever home.

We adopted our dog from spain last year and all of our cats were strays. Adopt – don’t shop, we would never support a breeder as long as a million animals are killed in shelters all over the world…

I hope all of the dogs will find a forever home ♥

Thanks for supporting your local dog adoption events. We’ve always had rescue dogs and they’ve made us the happiest you can imagine. Petals and Blossum are from a rescue too. I’m going to their website (just for fun). PS. Cute little bummies on those pugs.
