What great photos. I love the blue eyed goose (doesn’t that sound like the name of a wine?) and the goose feet….super photos!
Waiter! Waiter! Might I have a bottle of that blue-eyed goose wine? Thank you!
Queen of the House may prefer her birds roasted.
lol
Wonderful pics. Mallards are in the bottom right hand corner (well, not quite but close).
A lovely series of photos. What a fine walk it must have been.
They’re so lovely. I see a man and a woman mallard between the coots… so, so sweet
Beautiful!

Very nice pictures
Beautiful photos . Thanks for visiting my blog !
Russel, the goose that appears to have broken wings has a condition called Angle Wings. It happens when the geese are little and take in to much protein. The wings never get better, they can’t fly with wings like that. Someone rescued a baby goose along side the road that was abandoned and I took it and put it in my bird pen. His wings were just like that so I researched it. He lived 5 years. He loved hanging out with my ducks and chickens. He also had a overbite bill so that is probably why momma left him. Great photos!
Thanks for the information on Angle Wings. Quite interesting.
Aww, your photos tell a sweet story, thank you
* I sent some distance healing to the goose with the sticky out wings as well, in case they’re uncomfortable.
What a great day a the park! Thanks for sharing!
Love the squirrels.
Well my comments keep going away and I am tired of piddling with this.
Great gobs of goose grease; Hope a somebody can catch and take the goose to a vet that has the wing problem. Maybe you should see about contacting a bird rehabber. These are licensed people by the state to rehab wildlife and some of them take in domesti
Wow what an active day, great photos
Quite something those geese! That Muscovy Duck looks like a mini Turkey!! You had plenty of variety for photographic material though
The squirrels are adorable…I’m amazed that it was accepting food from a human hand! How lovely, and those photos are soooo cute…I love little squirrels they’re such cool little guys!
The birds and squirrels at Chollas Lake Park are really going to be in trouble if humans disappear tomorrow. They won’t know what to do when the food supply suddenly disappears with the humans.
I have a big smile on my face after seeing that photo of Zoey! HAHA! Really great shots, but she definitely does steal the show
Love the queen of the house!! Zoey is definitely incredible!
My favorites: the blue eyed goose, the angel wings, and Zoey, of course!!! All great shots, though!
Some interesting beaks over here
The one with the broken is nicely pictured, and is so gorgeous. But I’m very inclined to images of squirrels. So cool to take pictures of them as they are always photographic.
The expression of a bird is good.
This is wonderful! I really love your wildlife photos!
Hi Russel. Brilliant photos as always sounds and looks a nice place to visit. Thank you for liking my poems ‘ The Basement, From The House, Last Working Day and The Charge’. Best Wishes. The Foureyed Poet.
If I wasn’t so far behind in visiting other people, I would have stayed longer and read some more. I love your stuff. However, I am biased because I simply like poetry and those who can compose it.
So impressed you got so close to these creatures! These pics are lovely.
