The house I wish I had inspected
![]()
Whenever I do a home inspection in a neighborhood where I haven’t been before, I like to drive around afterwards and take pictures of fauna and flora, and even manmade objects if they are interesting.
After a recent home inspection, I found a house that I wish had been the one that I had inspected. It’s beautiful. Take a look:

I’d love to see the inside!!
I would too. You don’t know how close I came to going up to the front door and asking if I could peak around inside and take some pictures…………lol
Good taste!
That’s a very cool house!
I can see why, but it looks like it would be mighty dark in there. Windows?
Skylights and electricity, I guess. The house was facing north, so they might have glass doors, windows, and even more skylights on the south side where all the sunshine is.
Amazing!
Wow. I’ve never seen a house like that before! What was it link inside?
I didn’t get to go inside. I was just driving by. I was tempted to stop and ask if I could peak around inside and take some pictures, but I didn’t want to be intrusive. I’ve got my eye on the address, though, and if they ever sell and have an open house, I’m going!
I bet it’s all kinds of wacky awesome inside! Bravo to those who buck the split-level ranch!
You should have knocked.
“Hi, I’m Russel and I have a world famous blog. I was wondering if I could profile your house for my *Houses that are different* segment”
lol………..Now you’ve given me ideas, and that’s always dangerous!
I like giving people ideas.
Yeah, but I’m not people. I’m Russel………lol
I would pop a note through the door with a number or email they can contact you on if they wouldn’t mind you having a look round and leave the ball in their court (mention the word photographer in the note)
Oh WOW… what a GREAT house
I have to admit I’ve never seen something like this kind of housing before, very interesting and captivating
Reblogged this on JURNALUL LUI PETIT.
A very altaernative house! very cool from the outside!
Have a great weekend, my friend!
It’s certainly one of a kind! Reminds me of my childhood wish to have a round bedroom complete with a round bed!
Fantasy dreamer!……….lol
An igloo house !!
Or it could be housing a radar. Or perhaps a planetarium. Or perhaps a biker rides his bike in there on a Sphere of Death ……… go and find out Russell !!!
My mission, should I decide to accept it……….lol
If you do, maybe photoshop yourself for a disguise ;;)
I often see houses I would love to peek at from the inside.
Coolness!
it looks like an adobe igloo!
Maybe the owners moved here from Alaska!……lol
architecturally confused! I like it!
I’ll bet it’s incredibly energy efficient, too. I’m with Zoey – I approve this post!
So unique!
How does it go? Man, that is way cool!
What a cool-looking place!
Unique! Hi to Zoey.
That place is cool! HAHA
What a cool house. Very adobe-esque.
You found that house in San Diego? It looks like it was built in the 70s, and spruced up recently. Very neat. Do you know anything about a mosaic house in Santa Monica? Not your territory, but as far as an amazing home, it’s a must-see.
I was not familiar with the mosaic house. I googled it and read all about it. It’s now on my list of places to visit. Thanks!
Let me know when you might be up this way. I’m an hour from Santa Monica.
An hour north, south, east, or west? I’m going to presume that your not an hour west of Santa Monica……..lol
Right, West would maybe put me on Catalina, but North. Agoura Hills/Thousand Oaks area.
I have a niece who lives in Agoura Hills. Haven’t seen her in 11 years.
Well, there you go, a good reason to drive north.
Nice!
Ooooh! It would be amazing to see the inside!
