Are you sure that’s not Iowa?
Or my hometown in South Texas.
Gives it a bit more character than the average landscaping…
If I remember my grandfather using most of this equipment…being pulled by our plow horse, Old George….does that make me old? No? I didn’t think so either…………..
Beatiful antique equipment. Loved seeing all of the old machinery.
Wow! i love antiques in landscaping.
Can you go to see the antiques without going in to the resort to play?
Yes. Whenever I’m nearby, I’ll often just park the car and walk around the grounds. It’s very relaxing.
Cool. Thanks.
Quite different for a casino!
that is very interesting.. i especially love the wagon
Really lovely photos! I like all the old farm machinery. It helps a place retain some of its character I think. I collect old farm tools, not quite enough space for a tractor.
I really enjoyed my time here. Thanks for sharing.
Tikarma.
What a fascinating agricultural museum set in a gorgeous garden… had no idea there were so many different pieces of farming equipment….
I love the old farm implements that have stood the test of time and now beautify another area…
Great photos of interesting objects of the past–Thanks.
I always enjoy seeing antiques. They show us how far we’ve come. Gambling and sightseeing – what can beat that????
Reblogged this on karenlawrencephotography.
Creative and fun! I wonder if I could landscape around my old rake and broken broom?
Sure! And maybe your neighbors would donate their old rakes and broken brooms. You could have the cool neighborhood “old rake and broken broom” landscaping.
And then I could get “yard of the month”!
Definitely not what I was thinking when I read “Casino”!
Your postcard effect is perfect for these photos. Both have that old-fashioned look.
Your photos are precious! I love antique farm machines. Finding someone who used to use them and can tell you what each was used for is extra special.
Love the pictures so much that we’r coming to San Diego for a visit! Do you know whether the company Seabreeze Vacation Rentals is a good company to work with? Do you have any recommendations?
Like every vacation rental company, Seabreeze has its ups and downs. However, most of the downs are always during the height of the tourist season, Memorial Day to Labor Day, when demand is so high and the labor force is overworked.
You can find good and bad reviews at Yelp, including a discount: http://www.yelp.com/biz/seabreeze-vacation-rentals-san-diego
Historical landscaping… love the phrase, may need to borrow it sometime. Excellent photos Russel
Great shots ~ I especially like Zoey’s secretarial pose!
I love old things from the past. All of these pictures are superb! I would love to have that wagon. Thanks so much Russel for sharing these pictures I really enjoyed them. Hugs
