Torturing a kitty cat
![]()
Poor Zoey the Cool Cat. I’m sitting here working on home inspection reports and there are thirteen mourning doves on the ledge and feeders outside the window just torturing the poor little kitty. There are five mourning doves in the picture below. Can you find them all?
What’s an indoor cat to do?

My cats love to just sit by the window with all their muscles twitching and watch all the birds–I think it’s like watching T.V. for people, or a really good movie!
I can imagine the sound coming from her mouth as she’s looking at them LOL
Cats love stuff like this. It’s basically like tantric sex (only replace sex with bird murder). The thrill of the kill is all they want and knowing how close she is is probably making her super happy.
My cat gets quite agitated when a random bird lands on our windowsill
I found four …
You probably missed the dove that is sitting directly beneath the one that’s flying.
Well, this star is for you!

Thank you!
On the ninth day of Christmas my owner gave to me, five mourning doves!
Great shot of her torment!
Careful. Someone might call the SPCA on you for kitty torture.
I think my neighbors already did, the last time I gave Zoey the Cool Cat a bath and left the windows open so the neighborhood could hear her howl……..lol
I bet you have the scars to prove it!
No. She doesn’t scratch. She just howls. If the windows are open, you probably could hear her a mile away! I’m thankful that she doesn’t put up a physical fight, just vocal.
Our girls must spend hours salivating over the quail, doves, etc in our yard – I see it as “free babysitting” for our cats!
Free babysitting……….lol
Would you believe — when I moved in with my husband (when we first started dating) it was the first time my indoor kitties were exposed to mourning doves. Well, my little one started imitating their “coo.” It’s the cutest thing! Did you ever hear a cat coo?
We need a video on YouTube!
I do see five! Great photo. Poor Zoey
.
I see five. Took me awhile. I am not as quick eyed as a cat.
Looks like she is giving the situation some careful consideration
It’s good for her vocal cords, I guess
Great photo!!
found all five although the last one was hard to find. cat’s probably enjoying the view.
I see 3 clearly… I think 2 more. Is there an answers page? Did I miss it? I’ll go back and look!
Five. Three are clearly visible. Another one is at the far right, and one more sitting directly underneath the flying one.
Zoey says, “Let me out please!” lol
