If you come to visit San Diego, be sure to put a visit to La Jolla on your list of things to do. La Jolla is about 25 miles north of downtown San Diego:

P.S. If you fly into San Diego, sit on the left side of the airplane. The view of downtown San Diego as you are landing is magnificent.

  1. I love the sea lions snuggling! That is so adorable. It would be so cool to sleep on the beach and snuggle with them (I think they like humans, I saw a show about a baby one and he got very attached to a zoo keeper).

  2. A lovely set of photos as per usual… love them all… makes me wish I was there…

  3. Gorgeous! No wonder it’s such sought-after real estate around there.

  4. awesome :) i wish i could fly to california :)

  5. Yes, I have been there once and it is absolutely beautiful. I will never forget the beauty!

  6. RR…you really do San Diego proud!

  7. The coast, whether west or east, north or south, is always worth a photo or two, or several. Yours are beautiful! Flying into San Diego – just missing that hotel, whose name I have managed to forget – is not for the fainthearted.

  8. Beautiful captures! Look forward to a visit to San Diego. :)

  9. Lovely and refreshing. I saw no cats, however. Where were the cats?
Have a Happy Merry Christmas Holiday and thank you so much for subscribing to “Tales of a Clyde Woman” this year. You have been an encouragement. :)
Tell Zoey I said hi and here’s to many great things in 2013!

  10. You’ve been framed again! Oh to be in La Jolla now, preferably with the pelicans.

  11. My American hometown… I love it with all my heart… I’m just grateful to have lived here and have had this experience… hope it lasts forever :)

  12. Last time I stayed in San Diego, I took local route 30 from Old Town to get to La Jolla. Was a leisurely bus ride, but allowed for much sight seeing along the way. Great post!

  13. Great pictures!
    Wish you a pleasant weekend!

  14. You have tons of followers!! I love LJ except when you’re trying to find a parking spot!

  15. Spectacular photos, quite different from what I see here in south Florida.

  16. Great good memories of the Caspar Beach area in Mendocino when viewing your photos!
    Thank you!
