Congratulations! A neighbor from Canada shares your joy!!!
Congratulations America
and hurray!!!!
I am crying tears of joy!
AMEN!!!!!!!!!
I didn’t know until I saw your post – great news!
Yes Australia is cheering…well at least I am.
be good to yourself
David
Can this be true? Just came home to your post without turning on CBC – I am truly overjoyed for USA and North America and the world – fantastic news. Speaking as one Canadian I feel safe again (well relatively speaking)…
Fabulous result. We have been watching it closely on our TV!
I turned on the bbc internet news and jumped for joy – and I’m in England!
Rock on! double that Yahoooooooooo!
Mazal tov! Congrats!
What a awesome night! Congratulations President Obama!
YES!! Congratulations ‘I’m so in love with you…..” Great news, RR
I’m glad you’re glad… and I hope you’re glad I’m glad, you’re glad…
hurray from here too
HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!! We were scared early in the evening, really pulling for our home state (FLA). AND… Have you heard? Wisconsin elects FIRST openly gay person to Senate!!
http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/07/politics/wisconsin-tammy-baldwin-senate/index.html
Of course, there are some closeted gay Senators……………lol
Of COURSE. The article / news emphasizes… First OPENLY gay, lol.
Many of us are expecting Lindsey Graham to come out. I guess he might have to change political parties to do it, and that might cause him to lose re-election in his state, but word on the streets has never been wrong about these closeted folks.
Such a shame. It sure would be nice if he didn’t have to change parties to come out, and risk losing re-election. Not to be trite, but baby steps, I guess….
Baby steps are important. After losing Prop 8 in California in 2008, the GLBT leadership realized that the misleading TV ads by the anti-gay side could not be countered by ads. Thus they went to the ground, creating a grassroots network. That grassroots network won in Maine, Maryland, Washington, and Minnesota last night. Prior to last night, when straight people got to vote on equal rights for gays, 32 straight times the straight people said no. Last night, they said yes. Four times!
VERY true, VERY true!!!
And what a wonderful acceptance speech! Congratulations
Wahoooooo! I am LOVIN’ IT!
Hi,
Once again, the United States of America has shown why it is the land of opportunity. The people have voted and the voice of the people has been heard and accepted. The United States is a great nation and like President Obama said on the morning of his acceptance speech, there is no red states or blue states. When it comes to pulling together, in the hard times, the American people pull together.
His speech was excellent and all of those ideas, themes and observations that he put in his speech were marvelous. We as Americans have the right to be anything we want to be and that is what makes America great.
Congratulations, Mr. President.
Ciao,
Patricia
Wahoo! We are very happy that he won this race! That Mitt fellow is too far removed from the masses…I hope that he will be happy with his binder of ladies!
So glad the campaign is over and overjoyed with the result. It tugs at my heart to read so many commenters from other countries who share this sentiment.
Congratulations–I knew you’d be pleased with this. You were probably some part of the reason with your avid campaigning!
Oh happy day.
I can’t vote here, but I share your joy.
Yesssssssssssssssssss
This Canadian is thrilled too. Mr. Obama is a class act all the way!
I am so glad you and Zoey the cat are happy tonight!
great huh
was following the news here too as much as I could.
I am so over the top happy!!!
I wish Harper was half as cool…Michelle really scored. Way to Go America! Congratulations.
My sentiments exactly!
Wooohoo, indeed, my friend! I’m thrilled to bits!
Power to the people…
Yeeeeee HaaaaWWWWWW! What a relief! The news came on the radio saying…”The New President of the USA…” and I nearly had heart failure thinking The Rat had got in and the apocalypse was about to begin! I hadn’t quite understood that the “old” President would also be classed as the “new” President if he got in again. Horror turned to joy!!
I am so happy
Oz is cheering too!
Congrats, hope you enjoy…love your cat! *jackie
Loving it!
