Panoramas of Santa Monica, California
![]()
One of the places that Jim and I went on our anniversary was
Santa Monica, California, where we visited the beach and the historic Santa Monica Pier.

Santa Monica Pier opened in 1909 and currently features Pacific Park, a family amusement park with a large Ferris Wheel, a carousel built in 1922, an aquarium, entertainers, an arcade, a roller coaster, and restaurants. The pier also has great setups for fishing.
The Pier has been featured in many TV programs and movies, including “The Sting,” “Titanic,” “Forrest Gump” (there is a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant on the Pier), “Not Another Teen Movie,” “2012,” and “Star Trek: Voyager,” among others.
Following are some of panoramas taken on October 30, 2012, of downtown Santa Monica, Santa Monica Beach, and Santa Monica Pier. These panoramas were created by taking four individual pictures and having Photoshop CS6 stitch them together using its Photomerge function. Click on the panoramas to get larger images.
