Ah, politics.

In today’s globally connected world of instant Internet gratification, you gotta love politics even if you don’t.

The recent presidential debate between Obama and Romney gave us a phrase that probably will go down in history: “Binders full of women.” I won’t rehash what has already been hashed a few billion times during the last 24 hours, but if you want more about these binders full of women, Google it.

After dreaming about binders full of women last night, I got up early this morning to go out into the world to see if I could get some binders full of women. I thought the beaches would be the best place to go, so off I went.

Did I come home with binders full of women? Nope. I failed miserably.

However, I did come home with some pictures to put in my virtual binders, including the following 26 stunning beauties:

Those are feral cats from the San Diego River jetty. I always feel so badly for them when I go to visit, but other than the scratches on their faces from fighting with each other, they are well taken care of; many people, including me, stop by on a regular basis to provide them with food and water.

LIKE if you think this is an acceptable replacement for binders full of women.

  1. I agree, much better to look at than the other beauties!

  2. I am just a simple antipodean girl/ woman/ person.. and I don’t understand that great big sophisticated world out there…
PLease tell me what a binder full of women is?

  3. he he, much more appropriate ;-)

  4. I remember when you first posted pics of these fur babies – that’s when i started following your blog ;)

  5. These cats are beautiful. They look very healthy indeed, perhaps it is more that they have chosen to live off grid and remain free? Do not want to imply that feral cats have it easy, while working in the Bronx I watched them struggle to survive everyday, (even with help) in an abandoned lot across from my window. Just kind of a wistful thought in response to such cat composure and grace.

  6. That’s funny Russel. LMAO “Binders full of women” Nice pics!

  7. So nice of you to help them out. It’s such a shame they have a hard life.

  8. Hahaha. I bet you caught a lot of men with your title. :) Gorgeous felines.

  9. I say we send a binder full of Zoey to Romney.

  10. excellent photos of da cats

  11. I need to know – are these binders full of women part of the 47%?

  12. love these cat photos. this made my day!

  13. Hi Russel,
Excellent pictures and a nice joke but … are you sure they’re all female?! ;)
Take care and have a good one,
    Pit

  14. Wonderful photos. I’ve taken in a bunch of stray cats ( including one I bought from a homeless guy in the subway for $7 ) and one feral one. Good for you for highlighting them.

  15. Great photo cat a log of feral feline beauty – when in Rome I wondered about the lack of homeless people on the streets but the hundreds of stray cats. I was told that the cats were sacred, like cows in India, and were revered as spirits of the dead – and homeless Italians were cared for so they wouldn’t end up as more cats to care for…

  16. I love them, and Zoeyy TCC too, I think :D
