A most spectacular sunset today in La Jolla, California

Picture of the Moment

The San Diego coastline had a negative low tide this afternoon, resulting in a water line that was about fifteen feet lower than usual. We were also treated to one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen. I took 183 pictures of the negative tide and the sunset. Although I haven’t cataloged all the pictures yet, this surely will be one of the best:

  4. Looking forward to the others – or some of them at least. Not because I think this one here might not be the best – far from it – but just because I know I’ll get to see more wonderful pics.
Have a good one, and take care,
    Pit

  5. Where the burgers to go??? That fast!! :) Tomorrow’s post is tonight’s sunset… let me know how realistic the HDR is… be honest :)

  6. What a wonderful photograph, Russel. Another one for soulsnet if that is OK with you???

I do have a sunset fetish and this is one of the loveliest I have seen. Funnily enough as you were having one of your lowest tides we, here in Sully, South Wales, were having one of our highest. I live looking over the Bristol Channel and after the Gulf of Mexico apparently we have the next highest/lowest tide falls in the world.

Well last night was certainly one of the highest. Spectacular!

    Have a good day

    Corinne
