A most spectacular sunset today in La Jolla, California
![]()
The San Diego coastline had a negative low tide this afternoon, resulting in a water line that was about fifteen feet lower than usual. We were also treated to one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen. I took 183 pictures of the negative tide and the sunset. Although I haven’t cataloged all the pictures yet, this surely will be one of the best:

Holy smokes, Batman! That’s an amazing sunset! Z
Absolutely beauuuuuutieful!
Looking forward to the others – or some of them at least. Not because I think this one here might not be the best – far from it – but just because I know I’ll get to see more wonderful pics.
Have a good one, and take care,
Pit
My binders full of women will be my first post tomorrow, then today’s negative low tide and sunset since I went out with a fellow blogger whom you probably know via WordPress, too.
Where the burgers to go??? That fast!!
Tomorrow’s post is tonight’s sunset… let me know how realistic the HDR is… be honest
Hey, it was just burgers and a beer, and no view. In and out, without being In-N-Out, a burger chain which I don’t like……lol
What a wonderful photograph, Russel. Another one for soulsnet if that is OK with you???
I do have a sunset fetish and this is one of the loveliest I have seen. Funnily enough as you were having one of your lowest tides we, here in Sully, South Wales, were having one of our highest. I live looking over the Bristol Channel and after the Gulf of Mexico apparently we have the next highest/lowest tide falls in the world.
Well last night was certainly one of the highest. Spectacular!
Have a good day
Corinne
Certainly!
I guess all of our water went over to your place for the day……….lol
It is stunning!
Stunning colours” You must have been up early!! Thank you.
