I have noticed as I visit the 1% areas that two things are happening:

Designer hamburger joints are popping up on every other corner.

Designer pet resorts are popping up on every other corner not taken by the designer hamburger joints.

I agree…I see the designer hamburger joints and pet resorts/spas everywhere, too, now that you mention it. I’m also unimpressed, but I’d be willing to try a few of the hamburger places.
I have tried Burger Lounge and Smashburger. Burger Lounge, no. Smashburger, yes.
Good to know. We have a Smashburger, and most recently, The Habit. Personally, I think you can never go wrong with In-n-Out.
Oh, no! I think In-N-Out is the all-time worst! They are cheap, though, so the college students really like them. That could explain why the only place they exist is near college campuses…………lol
Well, I should preface by saving….if you want a greasy burger, then it does the trick! Perhaps I should try the gourmet burger

Well Zoey has good taste. My cats would not be impressed either. They all ready think they have a designer cat joint. MINE! They help decorate too, They wouldn’t eat the hamburgers either. Fussy things that they are.

Are they kennels in disguise, to help alleviate pet owners’ guilt when they go away on a trip? Zoe looks quite content to be where she is!
They are kennels, but unlike any kennel you’ve ever seen. They really are hotels for pets, some of them more luxurious than hotels for people.
Of course she’s not impressed, she’s got one of those at home
I agree with Animal Couriers. I think Zoey lives in one of those pet resorts. So do my two Tonkinese cats!
In your part of the country, there is the money to support Designers – hamburger joints, pet resorts – Designer whatevers. In our part of the country, we count ourselves blessed to find Burger King and a pet grooming place. No resorts. No Designer anything.
Not in my part of the country per sé, just in the areas where the rich 1% live.
