Party with the cars!
Just a few blocks from where I live is The San Diego Collection, a showroom of 10,000 square feet featuring premier vintage, special interest, rare, and exotic vehicles, and related memorabilia.
This is not a car museum in the usual sense because admission is free! This is actually the private collection of one Charles R. “Chuck” Swimmer. Chuck was born in Canton, Ohio, graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and founded Charco Construction in January 1966. He and his wife, Carol, have lived in San Diego for 46 years. Chuck is active in many organizations, including serving on the Boards of Directors for the Better Business Bureau and the California Highway Patrol.
The San Diego Collection also provides space for automobile enthusiasts to sell their own classic cars or memorabilia. Display space to sell used classic parts and auto-related items is just $25 a month. There is no commission on sales, and there are 250 spaces available.
Virtually everything in The San Diego Collection is for sale, but if you’re part of the 99%, you don’t want to know the prices. Services are also offered, including wiring repair, detailing, and troubleshooting. Perhaps the most interesting thing is that they can host and cater your event in their showroom. You can party with the cars!
Visit The San Diego Collection at 7215 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, California. Open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and closed on Sundays. However, Sunday appointments are available by calling 619-247-8341. For further information (other than Sunday appointments), call
866-308-8023 or 619-667-3136 or visit The San Diego Collection.
