I lied (must mean I’m a Republican)
In a recent post of mine (Imperial Beach, the most southwesterly city in the continental U.S.), I lied! I was misleading to my readers. I’ll let you decide if I should be punished by having to vote for Romney & Ryan.

I thought the original pictures were too cluttered so I tried to clean them up using Photoshop CS6. Cluttered….. Hmmm. Sounds just like politics, doesn’t it? What’s my punishment?

What’s the difference between an democrate and an republican? Like an European, I don’t see a big difference, a politician lie and that doesn’t have anything with the party… I’m a republican, “républicain(e)”, but even the socialists are republicans here, that’s mean that all politicians share the ideas of the French republic, then you’ll find the differences… But a lot of lies in the politic… Isn’t it ? ” N’est-ce pas ? “
The definition of a politician is that they all lie. The difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats like for Democrats, and Republicans like for Republicans. So the choice is, which lie does one want to believe? In my early political life, I believed the Republican lies. Since 1994 I tend to believe the Democrat lies……….lol
Really it all comes down to a couple of things in one’s life and that sways how one votes. In my early Republican life it was all about money. Nothing else. Me, me, me, me, me.
In my later Democrat life, it’s all about helping others, the poor, the sick, the unemployed, etc.
The funny thing is that I think (believe?) that Republicans tend to be more religious, and I thought religion was supposed to be about helping others. Not in this country. Religion is all about helping the church, and if you happen to help yourself, that’s great. Helping others may or may not happen, usually not.
OK, the definition of a republican isn’t the same. But I’m a GAULLISTE, Charles de Gaulle, as this I’d like to have a balance between this… Too much one of thing isn’t good, but that’s impression that I’ve got of you Americans… LOL

I believe it, but don’t you have small parties on a local level? Here we have a lot… Front de Gauche, Parti Socialiste, UMP, MoDem, Nouveau Centre, Front National, Parti radical, Parti royaliste, etc…
Nope. Most people who don’t like either party call themselves “Independents.” We do have a few insignificant parties, like the Green Party and the Libertarians. But they are so insignificant that it’s just a waste of one’s vote to vote for them. I’d love it if we had a coalition government like a few other countries.

Being a Republican yourself is not an excuse to be calling all Republican liars. I’m very surprised that you disregard your followers preferences and write such thing. It’s not nice nor funny.
I don’t know my followers’ preferences! I only know myself, and I must be true to myself. I tried living the first 38 years of my life for others. It didn’t work. I realize the Republicans want to take us back to the 1990s (Romney & Ryan), the 1830s (Hubbard), the 1770s (Scalia), and even to Dark Ages (Akin), but I’m not going back with them.
That’s not a reason to be rude to your followers such as myself, everybody in the world have some kind of story of unhappiness but is not a good reason to be rude to others.
I cannot control your emotions, and I’m certainly not seeing anything rude in my post. As Republican politicians like to say when they’ve been caught, “I’m sorry if you’re offended.” My post is only rude if it’s true. As my wise old grandmother used to say, “Sometimes the truth hurts.”
I think will just take the post as it is, clever demo on editing with a title nod quoting current events and commentators to draw me in. 8)

I’m always cleaning up my photos – wires haning across – take ‘em out; garbage bin on the side upsetting te space – take it out; people encroaching – take ‘em out. The old adage ‘pictures don’t lie’ is no longer true.
Even videos are no longer true, ever since that one television station was broadcasting New Year’s Eve 2000 live from Times Square and brushed out a competitor’s adversitement from the Square. I thought that was the most interesting “live” event ever!
why have photoshop if you are not going to use it to fix (clean) up your photos? Hardly a lie and no punishment required…now if you had used it to put Romney in a gay bar or a planned parenthood clinic, supporting everyone’s right to live their own life they way see fit, now that would be a lie.

The only thing you’re guilty of is telling us that you removed it… you described it best you said you were removing “clutter”. Its subjective and up to the owner but I like what you did and don’t think any punishment is merited here sir

Third party? “To dream the impossible dream”–it’ll never happen until the American people get their heads out of the sand and admit to the stagnation that exists in Washington, the very real threat resulting from our overwhelming debt and uncontrolled spending, and demand qualified, proactive, charismatic leaders who are willing to step on toes rather than settling for the mediocre, kowtowing elected officials we have today.
We need term limits for the House and Senate. If a term limit is good enough for the President, it should be good enough for the House and Senate.
I agree. Even though I live in Harlem and Charlie Rangel has been a champion for this district for over 40 years, I’m in favor of term limits – and sticking to them, not circumventing them like Bloomberg did in the last mayoral election. Okay, off the soapbox with me!
