Silly birds
I don’t know what kind of birds those are but they were having a lot of fun apparently interacting with the gawkers (people like me!). The little boy standing with his family next to me commented after a couple of minutes, “Silly birds.”

I think they are called Russelingos?
Probably…….lol
In one of our paddocks today I saw some very similar looking Russelingos – amazing!
Aw but they are too cute! You can’t help but gawk at them!
One of the Coromorant family it looks to me… we have them over here…
I think you might be right. That woudl also explain why there were no nameplates for them since we have all sorts of cormorants here. They were probably visiting just like me!
But then I just noticed that they have ankle bracelets on. Maybe they are a cormorant species that we don’t have here.
We don’t have them in Holland, but they’re probably waterbirds. You can send them over, I like silly birds
unusual looking little guys – they make me smile
Re: the ankle bracelets. Do you reckon they might be cons, out on parole??
Nah. They are just showing us what we will be wearing in ten or twenty years so that our governments can keep track of its legal citizens……..Oooops. That’s an editorial comment, isn’t it?……lol
Nice pic! The “bracelets” are actually bird bands. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_banding Which makes me wonder if they are juveniles…They are defiantly Cormorants the blue eyes give it away. I’m guessing immature Double-crested?
I look exactly like this when chatting with my close friends!
