I’m up here, you dummy! (gratuitous pictures of Zoey the Cool Cat)
I find it amazing that I include a picture of Zoey the Cool Cat in every post yet people still want more of the little princess. Well here ya go!
My favorite picture was taken on the first day she was in her new home. This picture pretty much tells you that she knew she was here fur better or fur worse, fur richer or fur poorer, in sickness or in health. It tells you she knew she was a little princess and would grow up to be queen.
If I can’t print my home inspection work sheets, then I can’t leave to go do home inspections.
Paper towels are not supposed to have fur on them. She knows that, but her paw over her face seems to say, “They weren’t there when I got here.”
Like any cat, Zoey the Cool Cat can’t resist boxes and bags….
….regardless of where they are. If it’s in the house, it must be hers.
She even took over the brand new Walmart green (Green? That’s blue!) bag:
Underneath the piano is a basket collection. Zoey the Cool Cat knows she is not supposed to get in them. Here’s what she thinks of that:
I have a lot of pine trees in back and during Christmas I like to decorate the house with fresh pine-smelling pine cones. I’m not really sure how this one got on the floor since that’s not part of my decorating scheme:
When we first got Zoey the Cool Cat, Jim was helping open a new Borders store. I think Zoey the Cool Cat knew that Borders had something to do with books:
She wasn’t mad at me, just yawning. Well, maybe she was a little irritated that I woke her up.
She seems to be upset that all those dirty clothes she was sleeping on yesterday are not here today. What’s with that?
Aaaaaaaaaaaah…. Please let me stay…….
When I started birding in January 2012, I went to buy a bird book. I got home, put my backpack and the bird book on the bed, and the rest is history:
Zoey the Cool Cat is not allowed on my prized quilt. Yeah, right.
If there aren’t any birds on the back patio, Zoey the Cool Cat just takes a little nap, knowing that all the noise the birds make will wake her up. Meanwhile, she’s probably dreaming of actually getting outside to catch one.
One day I went searching everywhere for Zoey the Cool Cat. She seems to be saying, “I’m up here, you dummy!”
Sometimes I think I might have to help her get untangled.
One of my favorite pictures of her pretty face and eyes:
Sometimes I wake up from my own catnap with leg cramps.

Love her! What a face!!
Great photos Russel Ray. And a beautiful cat, a cool one too yes.
Zoey certainly did not appear to have any hesitation with her move into your home. So many of these photos reminded me of the things my own cheeky cat babies do.
Yes, we know she’s always on here but it’s great to see her in different poses. She has such character! Love that she was so relaxed on the first day – that’s fabulous.
Lovely photos … certainly is a cool cat… love the poses and the face close up is out of this world…
great photos, I love the ones of her yawning and that serene one (second to last one)….
I adore my 2 cats as well…love all the pics you take of Zoey!
Hi Russel, I agree with you Zoey is definitely a cool cat, how can you not take more pictures and share and how can your viewers not ask for more, the pic of the close-up of her face and eyes is so very beautiful.
I have about 10,000 pictures of the little princess! I don’t think there are any poses I don’t have, but still a lot of cataloging to do.
It’s hard not to. I have 2 big fellows myself, they started off as little tiny cute kitties who never stopped growing, When you have an opportunity check out my posts on Franky and Jonny, I so get what you mean.
A veritable Zoey The Cool Cat banquet!
Thanks!
What a sweet face! The close up should be an ad for cat food.
So cute! She obviously lines her humans!
Kitty porn – those eyes! Face one is her peeping out from under the papers.
I am so jealous! Our kitty passed away after a long happy life and I am so enjoying the pix of your gorgeous girl.
You need a new kitty! Zoey the Cool Cat was an animal shelter cat that I got just a day after my black cat was hit and killed by a car. Black outdoor cats, black asphalt, moonless nights, and cars just don’t mix well.
Your cat is so versatile! How lucky you are! And vice versa. Love the pictures!
How cute! Our Princess Zoey is a dog named Kalev. She jumps, but fortunately all the way to the top of the printer or the counter top. She’s the size of our outside kitties, and is always as thrilled to see them as she is us. They respond like too cool, bored cats putting up with her hyperactive greetings. Your pictures of Zoey are priceless!
Cool man, I love all of them!
Of course we want more pics of Zoey! How can we not want more pics like these above

Cool cat, indeed! She looks comfortable ANYWHERE – on your quilt, in bags, baskets, “redecorating” for you, etc!
My 17 yr old cat, Amber, passed July 4th. Just last weekend, we brought home a kitten – Lola. I forgot how much ENERGY kittens have….!
So sorry that Amber is gone, and I hope Lola has a long life with you, too.
What a beautiful cat! She is so photogenic or is that your wonderful photography?
It’s probably her photogenicity since all of these pictures were taken at low resolution with point & shoot cameras that I used to use for my home inspection business. I did clean them up in Photoshop before posting them here.
What an adorable little character!
just keep them, coming… they lighten the life of a bereaved cat owner!
There is nothing like a cat as a good source of amusement!
All fab, but love the pine cone one.
oh zoey, you are super cute, my little princess loves paper bags and boxes too.. if i can’t see her anywhere, i’m sure she’s just chillin on top of the door where she got a full view of the outside world.
I just adore this cat! The pictures are wonderful.
Russel, Zoey steals the show! Love her eyes – mesmerizing.
Bwahahahahaha! This is your best post ever! Just so happened to be Zoey’s spotlight. Even the admiring face and eyes pic is so epic. She looks so lazy with those pictures. Good thing she’s still reliable in approving your posts. Bwahahahaha! Love love this awesome post, RR.
Loved allllll your photo’s. Your tummy looks so cute and furry, ready for tummy rubs while you snooze. Shhhhhhhhh?, ok sorry, best go back to sleep.
Thats one cool moggy you have there, and I think he has an ownership attitude problem

Zoey is GORGEOUS! I adore my kids but I would adopt Zoey any day
Zoey is definitely a cool cat – this makes me miss my Bobbin (RIP 2008)
RIP Bobbin. I hope you got another kitty after Bobbin.
Sadly, I’ve decided there will be no more kitties…at least not until I retire. Bobbin was the last of several, and now I have a small ageing cat-dog to see to. They leave too great a hole in the universe for their size, I am afraid
Great photos, Russel. Zoey is one cool cat!
Zooey looks like a lovable, easygoing cat who still likes to have fun.
Russel, I gave you Sunshine Blogger Award. Please check it out here: http://ladaray.wordpress.com/2012/08/20/sunshine-award-awesome-new-photos-of-russia/
Why thank you so very much!
Zoey is super cute!! Had a great time just looking her cute pictures!!!!
Guilty as charged. I read your wonderful posts and always want more of Zoey. Keep them coming!
No doubt that Zoey knows she’s queen of the house. I love all the photos, but the one of her on the bookshelf is my favorite.
Blessings to ya, Zoey – Maxi
Zoey, obviously, has a great personality and you’ve captured it well with these shots! Love it. My mother’s cat has a penchant for cheese slices. If, Heaven forbid, she gets interrupted before unwrapping it, Murray (the cat) will carry it around in his lips and follow her around the house. There is no way he will let her forget to unwrap his cheese slice. lol.
I’ve only been a cat person for five years. So much I missed out on during the previous 52 years.
That’s funny! When I was a kid, my father hated cats. We had a book “100 uses for a dead cat,” and other things like that. And then a stray adopted them. Since then, he’s been a “cat guy.” He actually adopted Murray from the pound.
Cats are . . . . If you don’t believe me, just ask them. Wonderful photos!
We’re such a bunch of cat lovers. And why not? Cats are to be adored.
RR Rembrandt, i must say that you have surpassed yourself!!! The shots are great and she is adorable!!! There are so many pics of cats circling the web – but your fur baby and her pictures are really special!!! Thank you so much for this treat!!!
OH MY GOSH! One of my favorite of your blogs ever! HAHA! I love Zoey so much, she’s fun and just so beautiful
COOL
“I meant,” said Ipslore bitterly, “what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?”
Death thought about it.
“CATS,” he said eventually. “CATS ARE NICE.”
— Terry Pratchett, “Sourcery”
That pretty much sums it up
Zoey is a beauty!
It does, and quite well!……lol
Oh, what a beautiful girl! Love, love, love her!
I love the bag photographs as they remind me of my cats doing exactly the same thing
Take care. Ralph
A brown tabby who is absolutely gorgeous xx Love the shots you have really captured her colouring in an amazing way
I so love the pictures and the captions along with it! She looks like and does all of those things my princess used to (Malu – she’s gone, a year now, to be in Pets’ Paradise)
I’m sure my Sophie, who went to Pets’ Paradise in 2008, gave Malu a great welcome!
I’m sure Sophie would have too
If I may share?

That’s one kitty who looks like she knows how to enjoy the good life!
