Pelican running on water
I have both a Canon EOS Rebel XSi and a Canon EOS 550D which I imported from London because it was not available in the United States. The 550D is known as the EOS Rebel T2i if you bought it in the United States. I bought the XSi in 2008 and the 550D in 2010. The XSi is now my home inspection camera and the 550D is my walkaround camera.
The only reason why I bought the 550D is because it was the first Canon DSLR to have high-definition video. Unfortunately, I rarely remember that I have video. Yesterday, I remembered, and got a cool 20-second video of two brown pelicans running on water. When I uploaded it to YouTube, the first pelican running on water got chopped off. What’s with that?

I love this clip – just what I needed tonight – about to go to bed so sad – thank you for cheering me up.
I hope you wake up much happier. Pleasant dreams!
That was a good capture… lovely share..
I like it, thanks for sharing some nice parts of the world with me through your funtastic pictures
I don’t know what’s up with that but I love the way the first pelican seems to be saying,”Ready, set, GO! And no I am not getting inside his head; I am watching his feet! Zoey looks adorable here!
love this – had a boyfriend in university whose nickname was Pelican – don’t think he walked on water though
Apparently the first pelican became invisible when he walked on water. Fun video!
Cool shot!
Such a pelican fan am I!
Any tips for a fledgling photographer , I have a Canon 400 D and primarily use the auto, I am unsure what settings are best for more clarity and perspective

Take pictures! Lots of pictures! Go on photographic expeditions where you can take a picture of the same thing using the auto setting, P, Av, Tv, etc. Then go home and see what the differences are.
That’s how I learned that if I’m going to use a 300mm lens and hand-hold it to take pictures of birds, I’m going to need to use the shutter speed setting (Tv) and set it to be at least 1/1000. Otherwise camera shake gave me an unuseable picture.
Doesn’t matter the first pelican disappeared, Russel, it’s still a great video.
