San Diego State University
I live a mile from San Diego State University, home of the Aztecs and 31,000+ students.
I often go over there to walk around the campus as my daily exercise. This afternoon was a particularly beautiful day and gave me some great pictures:

Loving that fresh blue sky not something I see often in Hong Kong
Beautiful pics! Appreciate the “camping” ~
Lovely!
Love the old Spanish architecture found so often in San Diego.
Very nice set of photos indeed! Looks like a resort.
And a great st of photos it gave you too… thanks for the share…
what a beautiful campus!
You do have some very beautiful architecture in California. I also like the campus in Berkeley, where my wife’s daughter got her M.A.
I certainly need to go back to CA soon.
Berkeley is probably the fourth most beautiful California campus I’ve been on, behind University of California Santa Cruz, University of California San Diego, and Stanford.
Gorgeous photos. Love the fountain.
Yes SDSU is a nice campus…I found that out a couple of years ago when my little brother graduated from there!
Lovely! I’ve never been on the campus. Thanks for the tour!
The last two shots are awesome, as well as your others. You have a way of bringing life into still shots…you know? I will have to look at more of your posts to see if you ever try black and white photos and play with the contrast.
Generally I don’t like black & white because, well, the world is in color. However, I’m trying to get over that, as you can see if you look at the Aloe 4 pictures in this post: http://russelrayphotos2.com/2012/07/20/friday-flower-fiesta-drippers-rounders/
ahhhh yes! you know what? I absolutly adore how you answered about the color and you are correct!! i like the black in whites with splashes of color for the world is indeed unique and woderous to the eye who do truly “see”!!! Rock on!!!!!!
A couple of days ago was Edgar Degas’s 178th birthday. It just so happens that the day before I was at The Getty Center in Los Angeles where several Degas painting reside. In reading about him in Wikipedia and on history.com, I saw this quote by him: “Art is not what you see but what you make others see.” I know black & white is a way to make others see what you want them to see; I just need to learn when it’s most appropriate. I don’t want to convert to B&W just for the sake of converting to B&W.
Exactly, I get that totally. You see and interpret the vast spectrum. The places you share here I have never seen. You have given me a wealth of interesting topics and places to google.
Oh pretty PRETTY! I love these! And little Zoey’s nose!!! *gasp* adorable haha
